For years, aquarium controllers were thought of as complex, required you to read a mountain of manuals and practically required a degree in computer science to operate. Until now!
With Apex Fusion, set up and configuration has been simplified. Accessing your aquarium from outside your home just works – there is nothing to configure. Terms like port forwarding, dynamic DNS, email servers and programming are for IT pros and are a thing of the past. Probably the #1 reason to have an Apex is the ability to get alerts when something is not quite right on your aquarium. Ironically, this used to be the one thing many left off of their aquarium controller set up simply due to the complexity of set up.
MONITORING AND ALERTS
Once you have told Apex Fusion where to send alerts, you can now set up notifications on common (or hopefully uncommon) things such as over/under temperature, pH level, salinity level, sump level, and the most important one (for your significant other) leak detection! With Apex Fusion and the AFS (Automatic Feeding System), you can now easily automate feeding your fish with an easy-to-use wizard. This wizard lets you set up how often you want to feed, how much to feed, and conditions when you do not want the fish to be fed (i.e when ORP is low or temp is high)
LIVE VIDEO AND FAVORITE PHOTOS INTEGRATION
Many experts in marine aquarium husbandry will tell you that the best way to know how your tank is doing is to just look at it. Also, why put all this time and effort into building an awesome looking tank and not be able to see it when you are away or show it to friends?
So, we decided to integrate live video feeds and a slideshow of your favorite tanks snaps right into the dashboard of Apex Fusion. Now you can be sitting on a beach in Bali, open up Apex Fusion and not only see the parameters of your tank, but a live feed of it as well. Some even like to put multiple cameras on their aquariums with one of them in their sump or fish room to have an eye on that as well. And, sometimes when you are away from your aquarium you just miss looking at that favorite fish or coral so you can also add those favorite snapshots into the dashboard as well.
END-TO-END SECURITY
Until very recently many people took security for granted with products they bought and services they used online. With online crimes on the rise, now more than ever you should confirm the products and services you use are truly secure. In fact, right now there are many controller products and online services in the aquarium hobby that are NOT secure and are putting peoples’ aquariums and personal data at risk.

We have designed the Apex Fusion lighting graph interface by distilling down to the core functionality that most people want – and making it easy to do seemingly complex things like sunrise, sunset, light mix and weather effects.
Apex Fusion makes going from taking your LED out of the box to sunrise and sunset happen in a matter of minutes, not hours. And, once you know how to configure lights in Apex Fusion, it never changes, even if you decide to move to a different lighting solution or want to help out a friend with a different light.
APEX READY+ DEVICES
Some aquarium products have been certified by us as Apex Ready+. What this means is that the advanced functions of these devices are accessible from inside the Apex Fusion interface. Not only that, but we work to simplify the interface and make it easier to set up and use these devices.
In the image on the right, you can see both the configuration screen for EcoTech VorTech pumps as well as EcoTech Radion lights (WXM module required). You can see here that the VorTech pump goes through various modes and intensities throughout the day. This is just one example. With Apex Fusion and our Apex Ready certification program, more and more aquarium manufacturers’ products are becoming controllable all the time!
ADVANCED PARAMETERS GRAPHIC AND EVALUATING
One of the best things about having an Apex on your aquarium is that it is continually monitoring and logging the aquarium data. With the free subscription to Apex Fusion, that data is available to you for seven days to use and examine to try and identify trends or issues in your aquarium. For instance, you may want to look at the pH trend in your tank to identify a drop in Alkalinity that might require you to test it and adjust your dosing schedule. Or, if you are monitoring ORP, you could identify feeding sessions throughout the week or even a potential die off in the tank.
MULTIPLE AQUARIUMS – YOURS OR A FRIEND’S
Many of us that have aquariums can’t stop at just one. It is that addictive. With Apex Fusion you have access to all your aquariums right at your fingertips. Each aquarium has it’s own individual settings, alarms, and logging. Furthermore, you can “share” your aquarium with others and vice-versa. So, Apex Fusion has advanced rights management with five user levels built in. This allows you to set your dad up just to be able to view the tank and get alerts. However, your fish-friend can view the tank, get alerts, and turn on and off outlets. This adds a great social component to owning and caring for fish and corals.
